⚖️ Court & County News

According to reporting by Jim Lowe with the Lampasas Dispatch Record:

A visiting judge has dismissed all felony indictments against District Clerk Edith Wagner Harrison, ruling the charges did not meet legal requirements for prosecution. The case involved more than $30,000 in minors’ settlement funds that were deposited into a regular county account rather than an interest‑bearing account.

Harrison says she feels vindicated. District Attorney Jessica Guy has confirmed the state will appeal the ruling.

Harrison’s term ends in December, and she remains in a three‑way Republican primary race for County Judge ahead of the March 3 election.
